10 Mar VMI is now a reference in safety in the UK
At FutureScan Ltd we are pleased to announce that VMI Security recently signed a contract with the Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom to help combat threats entering the prison facilities.
The supply of this equipment starts after a careful selection process carried out by the UK Ministry of Justice (MoJ) with the participation, in a free competition, of the largest and most important companies in the sector worldwide. The contract contemplates the delivery of screening, inspection, and monitoring equipment for baggage and cargo.
Today in the UK, as elsewhere in the world, the entry of illicit objects into prisons is a critical problem in the control and security system of prisons.
The aim of the acquisition is to provide prisons with equipment capable of detecting contraband items, such as cell phones, drugs and other threats, without compromising the privacy of visitors, staff, and collaborators. This will allow UK prisons to ensure internal security and prevent the entry of prohibited items.
After the conquest was made official, the first units are already being installed and the prisons can now count on state-of-the-art equipment, contributing to a safer and more modern prison system.
